On Tuesday morning, October 8th, 2024,

Pastor Gordon Conner went home to be with his Saviour.

Pastor Conner founded Bethel Baptist Church, now Greater Vancouver Baptist Church, in 1982. God used him greatly over forty-two years, seeing the church grow from just a handful of people to over 200. God worked a miracle during Pastor Conner's ministry and gave the church a building at the intersection of Kingsway and Victoria in Vancouver, BC.

Throughout the years Pastor Conner has touched countless lives and has impacted so many people. Many have come to know Christ as their Saviour through his preaching and his witness. Through his ministry, seven churches have been started throughout Canada and the Philippines. Many more men and women have been called to follow God and serve Him with their lives.

These have gone on to be used by God to do great things for Him.

While we will miss Pastor, his preaching, his influence, his mentorship, and his love for God, we rejoice that he is with his Saviour in heaven.

He is no longer sick, he is no longer confined to a hospital bed, rather he is singing praises to the One who saved him.

Pastor will be missed; his impact and influence will not be forgotten.
